Health Information Supervisor
Pennsylvania Mountains Healthcare Alliance (PMHA) is seeking a Health Information Supervisor on behalf of a member facility.
Under the direction of the Manager of HIM, the Health Information Supervisor coordinates the transcription function, clerical activities, release of information, and scheduling/staffing oversight of coding, clinical documentation specialists, and authorization denial specialists. Key responsibilities are assisting the Manager with department operations, applying concepts and knowledge of coding guidelines, and utilizing thorough knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, DRG, and APC resources and systems.
Key components of the position:
· Coordination of transcription, ROI, clerical, clinical documentation, and authorization denial effort
· Assist in operations, staff scheduling and supervision, hiring, and policies and procedures
· Demonstrate knowledge in ICD-10, coding, and associated activities, resources, and systems
· Prepare and manage bi-weekly employee time/labor data for payroll processing
· Able to learn, understand, and support use of applicable software systems
· Assist with reviews, audits, appeals, and ongoing quality improvement
· Understand/utilize current reimbursement regulations and educate staff when appropriate
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
· Education: Minimum of Associates Degree in Health Information Management
· Experience: 5 years in a supervisory role preferred, 3 years in Coding in an acute care setting required
· Certification: RHIT preferred, Certified Coder (AAPCA or AHIMA) preferred

Revenue Cycle Project Manager
Pennsylvania Mountains Healthcare Alliance (PMHA) is seeking a Revenue Cycle Project Manager.
Under the direction of the PMHA VP of Finance & Revenue Cycle, and in support of a network of community hospitals, the Revenue Cycle Project Manager oversees projects related to process improvement, strategic planning, change management, and revenue enhancement. This position will convene and manage an interdepartmental steering committee, monitor effectiveness and efficiency of new and existing processes, develop metrics, ensure quality and timeliness of projects, and cultivate strong working relationships.
Key components of the position:
· Collaborate with various hospital departments and management to map existing processes, determine readiness to implement change, and identify necessary resources
· Conduct risk assessments, feasibility studies, cost/benefit analysis, evaluate vendors and technology, create RFP’s, and determine estimated ROI
· Act as a liaison between administration, revenue cycle, IT, and clinical departments and lead multi-disciplinary steering committee in support of making informed decisions and assessing future needs
· Develop qualitative and quantitative measurements, monitor project results, set and manage project budgets and timelines, and provide frequent and regular updates to stakeholders
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
· Education: BS or BA in Health Administration, Business, IT, or related, Master’s preferred
· Experience: at least 5 years in project management, 5 years revenue cycle preferred, 3 years IT preferred
· Certification: PMP Certification preferred
The successful candidate will be a strong and effective communicator with polished analytical skills and experience working collaboratively in a healthcare setting. The successful candidate will also have knowledge of project management techniques, revenue cycle process, healthcare information systems, and current healthcare regulations. Clinical Documentation Specialist
Pennsylvania Mountains Healthcare Alliance (PMHA) is seeking a Clinical Documentation Specialist on behalf of a member facility.
Under the direction of the PMHA Director of Health Information Management, the Clinical Documentation Specialist facilitates improvement in the quality, completeness, and accuracy of medical record documentation through concurrent medical record audit. The primary responsibility of the role is to obtain clinical documentation through extensive interaction with physicians, nursing staff, patient care givers, and Health Information Department coding staff to ensure the clinical documentation is a complete and accurate reflection of the level of service rendered.
Key components of the position:
· Educate members of the patient care team on documentation guidelines on an ongoing basis
· Demonstrate skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care and intervention
· Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span
· Facilitate modifications to clinical documentation to ensure appropriate reimbursement is received
· Ensure appropriate DRG and quality of supporting documentation
· Assist with reviews, audits, and appeals and ensures ongoing quality improvement
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
· Education: BS or BA in Nursing, Health Administration, or Health Information Management
· Experience: at least 4 years in Coding or in delivery of care as a licensed RN or LPN
· Certification: current PA RN or LPN (preferred), CCDS, or CDIP
